The Home Ministry Fund make it possible to better serve our missionaries through ongoing mentoring and training, member care, refining our system process and other support services.
While the Home Ministry Team connects with individuals interested in serving with SIM, they also foster relationships and mentor SIM applicants through the various challenges that arise.
Larry and Sally* from Western Australia recently left to serve with SIM in Asia. Reflecting on their time before leaving for the field, Sally said, “Our mobiliser, Alan, has been with us on this three-year journey since the beginning. We are so grateful for him journeying with us and supporting us through all the ups and downs that come with getting to the field.”
As a ministry, we face challenges, such as, growing restrictions to operate in areas previously available to traditional access, the need to mobilise a new generation for missions and the availability of finance.
We are thankful to the Lord for the generous support we’ve received to the Home Ministry Team. However, we are praying for the provision of ongoing financial support to continue to raise up, send out and equip workers for the Harvest. To make this possible we have a challenge!
We are seeking 100 people to prayerfully come on board as monthly pledge supporters to the Home Ministry Team. Over 42% of the world’s population live in a community that has no access to the Gospel1. Will you partner with us to make disciples of Jesus where He is least known?
Ongoing, regular financial support will enable SIM to sustainably grow the number of cross-cultural workers that are sent to the field to share the Gospel and disciple believers in Christ-centred churches. For every missionary that returns to Australia, SIM is seeking to send out two other cross-cultural workers to grow the mission task at hand.
Come with us to fulfil this vision so together, we can play our part in God’s global mission!
