Ando is serving among the S.I people, a least-reached people group in South East Asia. After graduating from university in 2015, completing studies in environmental engineering and language, God opened the door for Ando to spend almost 2 years in South East Asia as a short-term volunteer with the Baptist Mission Australia team. During his time he began culture and language study and supported some of the team’s existing work, as well as contributing to a local soccer ministry.
After returning to Australia, Ando strongly sensed God leading him back for longer term ministry. He was drawn by the need and sense of responsibility to live among a least-reached people group, as well as the peace and joy he was filled with when previously there.
Ando is using his passion for language, soccer and the outdoors as a means of engaging with and building relationships with least-reached people so that they may come to experience Jesus in a meaningful way.
